COMBOVER AT THE CAPITOL THEATER,
OLYMPIA

I accompanied Combover on their
latest venture into the world of the live rock & roll show. Destination:
Olympia, Washington. The place where nobody smiles. Land of
the ultra-cool. Yikes, was I scared.
The boys of Combover, preparing to rock the house.
Combover played first, with Goodness
as the headliner. I can't remember the name of the second band, which
is just as well because they really sucked big time. Needless to
say, most of the kids were there to see Goodness. Half of the audience
stood and was pretty receptive to Combover, while the other half sat on
the floor and received the wrath of singer Dick Rossette's biting wit.
If Pete Townsend had been there, he might've said "the kids are uptight."
Dick sez "aah, yea!"
A few kids were won over by the hijinx
of Mr. Rossette, so the show was not a total loss. They sounded damn
good that night too. And I'd never had the opportunity to see Goodness
before, they were great. And very nice people too. That Carrie
Akre sure can sing! Scroll down for more fun photos of Combover,
doing what they do best!
Liam teaches the kids how to smoke!!!
Bald Steve shows off his new hair, and his borrowed Rickenbacker.
VeeVee shows the kids a thing or two about customer service.
Combover is:
Dick Rossette - vocals, guitar,
verbal haranguing
"Lectric" VeeVee Roark - lead guitar,
pleas to audience
Bald Steve - bass, fake hair
Liam Beveridge - drums, Johnson
& Johnson
